Hi, Guys, I am going to Bali this coming in mid-January. I have read loads of hotel websites and reviews. I am quite scared to book online since most reviews I read are not good. Well, my budget is dirt cheap actually, but I am not looking for luxury. Is it risky if I book for only my 1st night and look the rest once I get there? Thanks.

I've just booked for to go to bali for one week in july. We booked accomodation and airfares ourselves and got them for much cheaper than we've been quoted by travel agents.. go us :) Anyway I'm just wondering how much money people take with them when they go away. We've already got our accomodation (breakfast inc daily), so all we need to pay for is for is lunch and dinner everyday, and tours, taxis etc and shopping. We're staying 4 nights in South Kuta, and 3 nights in Ubud. So those of you that have been to Bali, how much money do you think I need?? Should I take more than $500 AUD?? You're right... I forgot to factor in drinking money... ;) Thanks for the heads up.

Hi. I plan to have a vacation in Bali in April. I have a couple of questions. I hope anyone with experience can help me. 1. Which area is good for peace, quiet and relaxation with a good, uncongested strip of beach with not too much partying? 2.What's a reasonably priced resort to stay in? Hopefully with direct access to the beach. 3.How much should I expect to spend per day on food, transportation, sight seeing, a few drinks (budget tours). No shopping. 4. Any norms or no nos I should know about especially when it comes to clothing and etiquette? 5. Can I fly directly to Denpasar from an international inbound destination or do I have to pass by Jakarta? 6. How do I book flights from Jakarta to Denpasar if I'm not based in Indonesia? Online right although I want to get the best rates possible. How much is the average? Do resorts arrange airport transfers? 7. Do I really need the VOA? I know these are a lot, sorry :). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Thanks for the answers! Do you feedback on Jayakarta Bali? I think it's in Legian.

So I haven't asked a question that involved effort, in like, forever! So, I decide to ask which 10 women will win International Tournaments, therefore, qualifying in Bali..I choose (in no particular order) - Agnieszka *yuck* Radwanska - Kataryna Bondarenko (sorry Alona, the more attractive one) - Dominika Cibulkova (winning her first title, ever) - Flavia Pennetta - Nadia Petrova - Vera Zvonareva / Jankovic (which ever one doesn't qualify for WTA Champs) - Aravane Rezai - Michelle Larcher de Brito (going out on a limb here..) - Anabel Medina Garrigues (hello, she'll always win a clay event) - Marion Bartoli ...BTW Yanina Wickmayer..making it to the WTA Tour Champs who are your picks?
